The Silfserjoch Roads closed to motor traffic!
A very special occasion at 30th August 2008
An invitation from the Stilfserjoch National Park to all cyclists an lovers of dreamy Alpine roads.
That’s a change to cycle through the full range of landscape and climatic types at the different levels of the National Park.
From the green nature in the valley up into the ice an glacier region of the giants of the Ortler Range in Vinschgau Valley. Along a 27-kilomter stretch, cover a difference in altitude of 2.000 meters. To reach the Stilfserjoch Pass you have to cycle over 48 hairpin bends: the Pass is situated at 2757 m above sea level.
