Security on mountain bike
6 rules to ensure secure mountain bike experience
Mountain biking in South Tyrol is great: many itineraries, the ancient Via Claudia Augusta trail, high-mountain-tracks and the Dolomites passes. But to guarantee the most possible security you have to follow some rules.
6 rules for mountain bikers
- Rule 1: adapt your speed to your own capacities, to the traffic situation and to the bottom covering.
- Rule 2: almost every path in South Tyrol is provided to excursionists. Greet always friendly and give them in any time precedence.
- Rule 3: in the uphill tracks a high-posted bicycle-saddle helps much. But in the downhill tracks it is rather an obstacle: the CG is on the front wheel, accidents are preassigned. So, put down your saddle and position your CG on the back wheel.
- Rule 4: to protect yourself put always a helm on and don’t forget to apply sun-creme
- Rule 5: mountain biking is only fun, if your material is high quality. Control often your mountain bike, especially your brakes and your wheels.
- Rule 6: Respect the highway codes, cycle with attention and don’t drink alcoholic drinks.
