... with bike and train in South Tyrol

Who doesn’t want to be depended on shuttle-services or bike-taxis to come back to the starting point, can take the train. But not in every train bikes are allowed.

In South Tyrol are travelling a lot of different trains: ICE, Eurocities and regional ones. Which train allows bikes, is written on the timetables in the train-stations.

A positive example for good bike transports with train is Vinschgau Valley. Buying the so called "Event-Card" you get a one-day-train-ticket, a rental bike and a helmet. Rent a bike, cycle to the next village, take the train and go to the next train station: bike transport in train isn’t a problem in Vinschgau Valley but really desired!

The transport costs only 4 € but it is only possible when there enough place in the trains.

You can get the "Event-Card" at the train stations of Meran, Naturns, Latsch, Spondinig, Schlanders, Mals, Reschen and Bozen South.
