Mountain biking in the Dolomites

They are called Rosengarten and Latemar, Sella and Langkofel, Schlern and Geisler, Drei Zinnen and Cristallo. And they are the most famous mountains in the Dolomites in South Tyrol. No wonder, that mountain biking in the Dolomites is a special experience!

The Dolomites are a unique and monumental nature-wonder and a paradise for outdoor-sportsmen in winter and summer.

Also from a cultural view the holiday-area is very interesting: village-names as Pordoi, Pralongiä or Pederü testify the ancient Ladin culture in the Dolomites valleys, which is still alive nowadays. Gröden Valley and Alta Badia are the most important Ladin valleys in South Tyrol, here traditional farmers-culture lives peacefully beside modern tourism lifestyle. Bikers-holidays here have high standard and is available by fair prices and conditions.

The most interesting hotspots for mountain bikers in the Dolomites are: Pustertal Valley, Toblach and Cortina, Fanes-area and the many Dolomites passes. Only the paths around the Drei Zinnen peaks are closed for bikers. There are so many hikers, that bikers can represent a danger. An exception constitutes the Dolomiti Superbike Race in July: some paths are exclusively open only for bikers during the race.
