Mountain bike tours in Eisacktal Valley

From Sterzing to Gossensass

The starting point of this mountain bike tour is again Sterzing in Eisacktal Valley. There we take the main road to Wiesen, where we follow the street to Flans. Arrived at the first hairpin bend we turn into a forest track.

We take it and right down on another forest track in Northern direction to Ried and to Strassberg-Ruin. We pass Strassberg-Ruin and follow the forest track to Gossensass, cross the village and take the railway-underpass to reach the western side of the Eisacktal Valley.

Arrived there we follow the asphalted road to Steckholz where we take the highway-underpass to get to a crossroad. There we take to the left a hiking path. After 1 km we reach the Brenner-main-road. We cross a bridge and turn to the right after another railway-underpass. Here begins a nice trail, which brings us back to Sterzing.
