Mountain bike tours in Eisacktal Valley

The "Schnogge"-Tour

We start our bike mountain bike tour in Sterzing in Eisacktal Valley, and cycle in direction of Wiesen. After we pass the Wiesnerhof Inn, turn to the right and pedal over the bridge to Sprechenstein castle.

We take the asphalted road. After the first hairpin bend we turn to the left into a forest track, which leads us to beautiful view points, where we can rest and look over Sterzing and the Upper Eisacktal Valley. After we have took the break we ride on and when we arrive at a fork we turn to right into a small hiking path, where we unfortunately  have to carry the bike on the shoulders for a little while.

Afer about half an hour we reach again a wonderful viewpoint where we take our second break enjoying the landscape, the panorama and the fresh air. After the break we right down to the valley, following a nice trail and after that a forest track, which allows also higher-bike-speed. Shortly after we reach again Sterzing, one of the 8 cities in South Tyrol.
