Mountain bike tours in Eisacktal Valley

Trail tour Meransen-Vals-Jochtal-Spinges

Our mountain bike tour starts in Mühlbach in Eisacktal Valley at the valley station of the Meransen-cable-car. We take the cable car and get over 650 m difference in altitude relaxed in 10 minutes.

Arrived at summit station we pedal to the tennis-hall, where we turn to left and ride down over the medium difficult trail into the Vals Valley.

Reached a country lane we take it for 500 m and turn then left on the forest track in direction of Jochtal Valley. The track is very steep and we make a lot of meters of altitude. At 1820 m we come to the Anratter Refuge, where we can take a break and recharge our batteries.

After the break we pedal to the summit station of Jochtal cable car. We keep to the left and cycle on a a small path to Mt. Stoanmandl-peak at 2120 m above sea level. From here we enjoy a fantastic view over the Dolomites, the Zillertal Alps and the near valleys!

A really special experience is the descent from Mt. Stoanmandl. We take the Knappensteig-trail and pass the Defregger Villa and ride down to Spinges, where another exceptional trail wants to be ridden: the one from Spinges to Mühlbach on trail 12. Enjoy it!
