Mountain bike tours in Eisacktal Valley
To Pfundererjoch Pass
Our mountain bike tour starts in Natz-Schabs in South Tyrol. We pedal to Schabs/Aicha and to Franzensfeste and follow the Eisacktal-Valley cycling path in northern direction.Arrived in Stilfs we leave the cycling path and turn to left in a country lane. At the end of the lane we cross the main road and take another country lane to Wiesen and shortly after the crossroad to Pfitschertal Valley.
We take the road into the valley and arrived at a wooden bridge we turn to the right in direction of Großalm mountain pasture and take the really steep forest track to reach the mountain pasture at 1920 m above sea level. From now on the path becomes worse and we have to carry the bike on the shoulders for some time until we finally reach our destination, the Pfundererjoch Pass.

It’s amazing: from the pass till Weitenbergalm mountain pasture we enjoy nothing less than a 30 km long downhill track! At least we take the main-road from Hinterpfunders to Vintl where we choose the Pustertal Valley-cycling path to turn back to Natz Schabs.
