Freeride tour Firmian

Firmian in Southern South Tyrol actually is not known because of its freeride trails but for one of the most famous museums in South Tyrol: the Messner Mountain Museum, which is placed in Sigmundskron Castle near the village of Firmian.

Though Firmian offers a nice freeride trail with north shore elements is a hot tip.

To reach the freeride trail first you have to pedal uphill for some kilometers. First of all you have to drive by car from Eppan to Girlan and then to a small locality called Frangart. Park here and pedal to Girlan. After 3 km you have to follow the markings left in direction of Schreckbichl. After 200 m you have to turn left once again and to bike to restaurant Marklhof.


There begins path 1. Follow him until you reach the wood. Turn right here pedal uphill for some meters and yet the trail with nice drops and north shore elements begins. The freeride trail isn’t difficult and the tricks and drops aren’t tests of courage.

For the uphill track to reach the trail you reach 20 minutes, the downhill track however lasts 15 minutes.
