Mountain bike tour in Tauferer Ahrntal

Kleinjöchl tour

The tour is much less demanding of Klammljoch tour, with only 22 km route. Starting from Sand in Taufers at the parking at the north of the city.

After 300 meters on the main road, turn right at Castle Tures. At the castle, we climb the trail marked 33 to Aschbach and then on the asphalt road for Ahornach. Cross country and continue on gravelly soil.

We follow the dirt road, towards the end, very steep and demanding, for a certain stretch you have to load the bike on shoulder. The stretch takes just 20 minutes and end at Natural Park Vedrette.

To return to Sand in Taufers take a beautiful but quite challenging trail through Pojental. At the Pircherhof must turn right and take the path 33 to Aschbach that brings us back to Sand in Taufers.
